Ingredients
- 1 package (16 oz) phyllo dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup honey (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp cloth.
- Brush a baking dish with melted butter and layer about eight sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each with more butter.
- In a bowl, mix chopped walnuts, pistachios, cinnamon, and sugar. Sprinkle half over the phyllo base.
- Add four more layers of buttered phyllo followed by the remaining nut mixture. Top with several more buttery layers until you reach about fifteen sheets.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. While cooling, whip together cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, and sugar until smooth; pour over baked crust.
- Bake again for 40-45 minutes or until set in the center. Cool completely and drizzle with honey before serving.
