  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup honey (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a damp cloth.
  2. Brush a baking dish with melted butter and layer about eight sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each with more butter.
  3. In a bowl, mix chopped walnuts, pistachios, cinnamon, and sugar. Sprinkle half over the phyllo base.
  4. Add four more layers of buttered phyllo followed by the remaining nut mixture. Top with several more buttery layers until you reach about fifteen sheets.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. While cooling, whip together cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, and sugar until smooth; pour over baked crust.
  6. Bake again for 40-45 minutes or until set in the center. Cool completely and drizzle with honey before serving.
