- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter with brown sugar until bubbly. Pour into the prepared cake pan.
- Slice the bananas into thick rounds and arrange them over the caramel in the pan.
- In a bowl, beat granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add vanilla, then sift in flour and baking powder; mix until combined.
- Pour batter evenly over the bananas. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for about 10 minutes before flipping onto a serving plate.
