  • 12 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onion in olive oil until soft (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  5. In a large bowl, mix cooked noodles, sautéed beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining cheeses and breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
