For the Pasta
  • 12 oz Ziti pasta
  • 4 cups Water for boiling the pasta
For the Meat Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Cheese Mixture
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Recipe Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot and add the ziti pasta. Cook until al dente (about 8-10 minutes), then drain.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet, cooking until softened (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, mix cooked ziti with the beef sauce and ricotta until well incorporated.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
