  • 2-3 pieces Ripe bananas will lend natural sweetness and moisture
  • 1 cup Old-fashioned oats adds fiber and texture
  • 1/2 cup Honey or maple syrup provides sweetness
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter or almond butter adds creaminess and protein
For the Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) gives crunch and nutrients
  • 1/2 cup Dark chocolate chips adds chocolatey richness
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon spices things up

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas well with a fork.
  3. Add old-fashioned oats, honey or maple syrup, peanut butter or almond butter, chopped nuts, dark chocolate chips, and cinnamon to the mashed bananas. Mix well until incorporated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  6. Allow the bars to cool in the dish for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
