  • 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for melting goodness
  • 2 stalks green onions chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning adjust based on heat preference
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice to brighten the filling
For the Bread
  • 1 loaf French bread the perfect vessel

Method
 

How to Make Crawfish Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F, or follow the instructions on your French bread package.
  2. Combine in a mixing bowl the crawfish tails, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic, Cajun seasoning, and lemon juice. Mix until every ingredient is snugly blended.
  3. Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise using a serrated knife.
  4. Spread the crawfish mixture generously over both halves of the bread.
  5. Bake on a baking sheet for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese is wonderfully melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool slightly, and slice into portions.
