  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Main Dish
  • 2 pounds beef flank steak
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 cups bell peppers sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 medium lime cut into wedges

How to Make
  1. Prepare the beef flank steak by placing it in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix the marinade in a bowl by combining the soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, olive oil, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the marinade over the flank steak in the slow cooker.
  4. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers on top of the beef.
  5. Pour in the beef broth, surrounding the steak with liquid.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 4 hours.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
