How to Make Steak Bites with Pesto Pasta
- Cut the sirloin or ribeye steak into bite-sized pieces and generously season with salt and pepper.
- Fill a pot with water, bring it to a boil, and cook the pasta according to package instructions until it’s al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of pasta water for later.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm the extra virgin olive oil. Add the seasoned steak bites in batches, searing them for about 3-4 minutes until they are golden brown on all sides.
- Toss in the minced garlic into the skillet with the steak and sauté for an additional minute.
- Combine the cooked pasta and basil pesto into the skillet with the steak. Mix everything well, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water if needed.
- Plate the pasta with steak bites and serve immediately, garnishing with crushed red pepper flakes or freshly grated parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes
Optional: Drizzle with lemon juice for a zesty kick. Make sure to cut your steak against the grain for maximum tenderness.
