Directions

  5. Divide the batter evenly between your prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until firm and springy.
  6. Cool the cakes in their pans for ten minutes then transfer them to cooling racks.
  7. Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy, then gradually add powdered sugar until desired sweetness is achieved.
  8. Level the cooled cake layers, frost between layers, and coat the top and sides generously.
